  6. This archive contains two AmosPro programs that will shrink, squash,
  7. squeeze, and squish your files and banks into extremely small compressed
  8. files, in two very different ways:

  10. BobSquasher.Amos
  11.   This program compresses bobs just like Squash-A-Bob, but is much
  12.   improved over its predecesor.  It features:
  13.   
  14.     * Auto Compression of all bobs in Bank 1 (when used as an
  15.       Accessory)
  16.     * Storage of the palette in the compressed file...no more "noting
  17.       the colors of the bobs"...
  18.     * Speed.  The decompressor can unpack 55 bobs in about three
  19.       seconds.
  20.       
  21. XPKPack.Amos (requires util/pack/XPK25USR.LHA and Easylife (kind of!))
  22.   This program uses XPK, the standard for eXternal PacKing.  It is a
  23.   great improvement over the XPK commands in Easylife (which thrashed
  24.   memory upon loading...sorry, Paul!), and includes a great GUI to
  25.   pack files just for storage and procedures to pack banks for
  26.   loading directly into programs.  It also:
  27.   
  28.   * Lists all of the available packers and their different modes
  29.   * Runs as an Accessory
  30.   * Has a great non-Interface GUI
  31.   * Accesses XPK cleanly and efficently
  32.   
  33. Both programs are FREEWARE...use them, examine them, learn from them,
  34. improve on them, yakety schmakety...
